Sleep in Heavenly Peace

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In Brazos county and across the U.S., too many boys and girls go without a bed-or even a pillow-to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, chairs, and even floors. This can affect their physical, mental, and emotional health. That's where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We're a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is an organization with 325 chapters spread across North America, and each chapter provides kids in need with a bed, complete with a new mattress, pillow, and bedding. The local Brazos county chapter was formed 2021, and we just delivered our 2,500th bed in July 2025! Volunteers meet once a month to build beds, and then we meet in the following weeks to deliver and set up the beds. Children ages 3-17 are eligible, and parents can apply at shpbeds.org.
