I love this community project of the Visual Art Society. We are a local group of artists from the Bryan-College Station area. We are trying to document all the public art in our community - a formidable task, because art is all around us. I am the person who runs around, takes the photographs and writes the blurbs for the website: AggielandArtTrail.com. I am hoping that you can give a little to this project. The Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station is a 50+ year old all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for local artists of all ages and skill levels to explore, develop and market their creations. Through events and educational programming, VAS strives to foster the appreciation of visual art and aspires to raise awareness about the relevance and intrinsic value of the visual arts in our community and provide annual scholarships for art students.
