Participating in the Brazos Valley Chorale provides a sense of belonging, teamwork, and togetherness among our members. It unites people from various backgrounds. Regular participation in the Chorale helps our singers build confidence and self-esteem. Choir members find that their mood improves, stress is reduced, cognitive skills are sharpened, along with so many other benefits. Then to have the opportunity to share the music we have prepared with the community through our concerts is the icing on the cake. The ALTO section is one of the larger sections in the Brazos Valley Chorale. We jokingly say, "the altos are the backbone of every chord, and we harmonize so you can shine." Seriously, the altos are proud to be one of the middle voices in the Brazos Valley Chorale. The Brazos Valley Chorale brings together passionate singers of varying ages and musical backgrounds to perform and foster an appreciation for high quality choral arts in our community. In accomplishing this mission, the Chorale performs a minimum of four major concerts per year, as well as supports other non-profit organizations in the community, providing music for their programs as requested and available.
