Like others, BIIN has had to make made changes in response to the pandemic. We have moved programs online and made digital literacy a part of our citizenship and English classes. We have helped with local public health campaigns, working to ensure that language and income are not barriers to people getting access to information, testing and vaccination against COVID-19. Through our BIIN CARES Fund, we raised over $70,000 to cover housing and utilities bills for immigrant-led households who did not receive stimulus checks, even though they pay federal, state and local taxes.
