Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society

Our mission is to improve the lives of equines by educating and helping owners, assisting law enforcement agencies, rehabilitating abused and neglected equines, and placing them into safe, permanent homes.

We work with law enforcement agencies and horse owners across the state of Texas to help horses. We assist law enforcement officers with neglect, abuse, and abandonment cases by helping investigate neglect reports, educating owners when possible, assisting in seizures when necessary, presenting evidence in court, and accepting horses into our program to rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome.

We help owners by taking in horses they can no longer keep. We also offer low cost euthanasia and gelding programs to assst owners who have financial difficulties. Last year, we added a program to help horse owners who are going through a temporary financial hardship pay for feed, hay, and/or veterinary care so they can keep their horses until they're back on their feet.
