Dementia Friendly Bryan-College Station (DFBCS) envisions a community where every person touched by dementia feels valued, supported, and empowered to live fully. We strive to unite compassionate individuals, organizations, and businesses to break down barriers, reduce stigma, and promote well-being. We are committed to driving meaningful progress in dementia care by listening to those impacted, advocating for their needs, and creating innovative solutions that foster inclusion. Together, we will build a brighter, dementia-friendly future for generations. Originating from the Alzheimer's Society in the UK, the Dementia Friendly movement now thrives in the U.S., with each community working to: raise awareness and inclusion; ensure access to services and resources; support and educate people with dementia and their care partners from diagnosis onward; and promote meaningful community engagement. Every person has a role in creating a place where all can live, age, and thrive-our goal is to make every resident a "Dementia Friend."
