Keep Brazos Beautiful was founded in 1980 by Jack and Dorothy Miller. After witnessing the ugliness of litter in the community, Jack Miller and others created a week long beautification/clean up in April 1980. After a very successful clean up, the community wanted this beautification effort to continue, so Keep Brazos Beautiful was formed.
In 1983, Keep Brazos Beautiful became the 283rd Keep America Beautiful Clean Community, and in 1993, became a Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate.
