Lifetime Learning Brenham

Lifetime Learning Brenham is excited to join Brazos Valley Gives as a new partner for 2026.  Lifetime Learning Brenham encourages learning and literacy for a lifetime.  We offer programs to the community, including luncheons with speakers on a variety of topics.  Our annual Washington County READ promotes a particular book throughout the year, culminating in a reception in the Fall with a visit from the author, an array of refreshments and a dramatic reading by Unity Theatre actors.  It is free and open to the public, although seating is limited.  This year's READ is on October 6, featuring the book The Turtle House and its author, Amanda Churchill.  

We are a 501-(c)3 not-for-profit that relies on volunteers and charitable donations.  Our luncheons at the Cannery Kitchen charge $25, but our other activities are free to all.  We do not require membership or dues.  Whether you live in Brenham, Washington County or elsewhere, check us out by attending a speaker luncheon, book review or the READ reception.  If you are looking for a fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity, just come to one of our meetings at the Nancy Carol Roberts Library in Brenham.

Our fundraising goal for this campaign is $5000.  Railstar Services has agreed to match-fund the first $1500 in donations, so your donation has a double impact!  Funds from this campaign will primarily be used for the 2027 READ, and to fund a scholarship for a deserving Brenham ISD graduating senior.
