National Charity League Aggieland- Margo's Market

A nonprofit organization

The mission of National Charity League Aggieland's philanthropy program is to partner with local non-profits and provide mother and daughter volunteer teams who support areas of local needs, such as disadvantaged children and youth, hunger and poverty, homelessness, and the elderly. Our newly created Margo's Market project focuses on helping school aged children who are faced with hunger issues.

NCL Aggieland is a 200+ member mother-daughter service and leadership organization. Our local chapter started in 2017 and serves over a dozen local philanthropies in the Brazos Valley. Our mothers and daughters volunteer together in the community, with our focus areas being youth and families, poverty & homelessness, and the elderly. Recently, our chapter voted to adopt a signature project to address the rampantly growing need of hunger in school aged children. This project, called Margo's Market, launched in College Station and added Bryan ISD in our first year of operation. Margo's Market is an addition to our partnerships with existing charitable organizations in the community.

Testimonials

" Margo's Market provided birthday boxes to our students. They included everything to make a birthday cake-- cake mix, candles, fun paper plates, party hats. The kids needing to get food from the school food bank don't always have fun stuff like this. We had one student get tears in their eyes about how excited they were about the birthday box. They even brought us a slice of cake after making it at home!" Oakwood Intermediate School
