Parrots Are Our Passion

At Wynterwood Farm Avian Rescue, parrots are more than our passion—they are family. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary, we provide a safe, loving forever home for parrots of all sizes whose owners have passed away, become overwhelmed, or are no longer able to meet their birds’ complex needs, as well as parrots that have been neglected or abandoned. Every bird in our care receives nutritious food, individual attention, enrichment, companionship, and plenty of room to express its own unique personality. We make a lifelong commitment to each resident, providing stability, security, and compassionate care for the remainder of its life. We also partner with the Austin Animal Shelter and the Bell County Animal Shelter in Belton to help parrots in need. Although birds are at the heart of our mission, our compassion extends to other exotic creatures as well, including rescued koi fish and bees. At Wynterwood, every life matters, every bird is known, and every resident is home.
