At Zoi’s Animal Rescue, we believe every animal deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and wanted.

Since 2005, we’ve been working throughout the Grimes County/greater Brazos Valley to give abandoned, neglected, injured, lost, and abused animals a second chance at the life they deserve. What started as a small effort has grown into a 501(c)(3) foster- and donor-based rescue that has changed the lives of hundreds—if not thousands—of animals.

We are proudly no-kill and 100% foster-based. When a dog is found dumped, forgotten, or hurting, we don’t see a lost cause. We see a life worth saving. Our foster families open their homes, our volunteers give their time, and our supporters make it possible to provide the veterinary care, food, medicine, rehabilitation, love, and patience these dogs need to heal.

Our work goes far beyond rescue. We believe the best way to stop the cycle is to prevent it. Through affordable spay and neuter programs and community education, we work to reduce pet overpopulation, prevent suffering, and help families understand the responsibility and joy that comes with caring for an animal.

And the impact goes both ways. We’ve seen scared dogs become happy companions, and we’ve seen those same dogs bring comfort, purpose, and unconditional love to the people who welcome them home. Saving an animal can change a person’s life, too.

Because we are completely foster- and donor-based, your support directly helps save lives. Every donation can mean a vet visit for an injured dog, food for a hungry puppy, medication for an animal recovering from neglect, or a safe ride toward a family waiting to love them.

There are so many dogs still waiting.

Where Your Donation Goes

Your support helps provide:

• 🐾 Veterinary care — exams, diagnostics, surgeries, emergency treatment, and follow-up care
• 💊 Medications — antibiotics, pain medication, flea/tick prevention, and other necessary treatments
• 🥣 Food & nutrition — food, treats, supplements, and special diets for dogs in our care
• 🏠 Foster care supplies — crates, bedding, bowls, leashes, collars, and other essentials
• ❤️ Rehabilitation & recovery — helping neglected, abused, injured, or fearful animals heal physically and emotionally
• 🚗 Transportation — getting animals to veterinary appointments, foster homes, adoption events, and safe placements
• ✂️ Spay & neuter programs — helping prevent unwanted litters and reduce pet overpopulation
• 📚 Community education — teaching responsible pet ownership and ways to prevent animals from entering the shelter/rescue system

We adopted Dollar and Coffee, a 10-year old bonded pair of miniature dachshunds. They lost their home when their "dad" had to enter hospice. We are so grateful that Zoi's was there until we met them and fell in love. Sadly, we lost Coffee about a year ago, but he had a good life with us. Dollar continues to thrive and boss around her much larger "sister" Cheddar, another rescue that is a lab-beagle mix.
