Grimes County Animal Rescue is dedicated to helping the abandoned, abused and neglected animals that we encounter in Grimes County. For us, rescue is about taking in the dogs and cats most in need and pouring them full of T.L.C. to make them adoptable into forever homes. We are also adamant that every animal we adopt out be spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative (or on appropriate heartworm treatment). In addition to the shelter, we are utilizing a robust foster program. We also believe in the power of spay and neuter programs that work at the source of the problem, and have been able to offer the community low-cost spay and neuter clinics. We have come a long way from where we started, but we know that this is just the beginning. The problems that we face are much bigger than us, but we know that we can still make a difference.
