Founded in 1970, The Arts Center is a nonprofit dedicated to making arts accessible. Serving the Brazos Valley, it has provided over $4 million in funding since 2008. The Arts Center provides a central location for the arts with galleries, visitor center, and studio artists, as well as programs such as A.R.T. for Life, Summer Art Camps, Artist Residency programs, and Artist Connect. The services and opportunities provided to the public, artists, and affiliated nonprofit arts organizations are abounding.

An all-volunteer board of directors governs The Arts Center. Daily operations are managed by a small but dedicated staff, with assistance from interns, volunteers, and a team of contracted artists, all with a passion for the arts, culture, and nonprofit arts management.
