MatriArk Village, Inc.

About this Organization

MatriArk uses an innovative model to build capacity in high-achieving families led by single moms--meeting their needs while equipping them as environmental stewards and leaders. Eco-forward projects increase immediate and long-term health and abundance both for families and ecosystems. While we work to rewild, regreen, capture fresh water, heal soils, and boost biodiversity, we are bridging the gap between welfare and financial independence, now and for generations to come. In 2026 we will be piloting the Common Roots Food Forest Project at four sites in Burleson and Brazos Counties, after which we will roll out environmental programs focused on Living Wage Careers and Housing Stability.

Also launching in 2026, the MatriArk ¡Ma-Más! Adopt-a-Family Program allows us to partner long-term with select families to: (1) boost skills, (2) provide a safety net until the children are grown, and (3) surround them with a broader community committed to their success. These moms can access up to $500/yr for 5 years to meet unexpected needs or create opportunities for their children. Unused funds are rolled into an education scholarship for their child/children, growing their legacy.
