MatriArk builds capacity in single-mom homes by strengthening the intersects of humans and nature. Eco-forward design projects innovatively position single moms and their families as environmental stewards, increasing immediate and long-term health and abundance both for families and ecosystems. Every project is a win-win. While we work to rewild, regreen, capture fresh water, heal soils, and boost biodiversity, we are filling the gap between welfare and self-sufficiency, now and for generations to come. Current projects are focused on Food Security, Living Wage Careers, and Housing Stability.

Our Common Roots Food Forest Project installs native and adapted food-bearing perennials in public areas near families lacking food stability and educates users on protecting, harvesting, and consuming these "wild" foods. The UMBRA Initiative promotes Upward Mobility Boosts in Rural Areas by preparing opportunity youth to enter professional environmental careers. MatriArk Village will integrate futuristic "living buildings" and intentional community design to serve as a model for how everyday people can practice modern lifestyles while actually restoring the ecosystems around them.
