Peacock Legacy of Hope

Peacock empowers single mothers and their children by providing Christian support and shelter, enabling a self-sustaining, hope-filled future. We are dedicated to supporting women by offering transitional housing along with essential life-skill training. Our mission is to empower mothers and their children by providing them with stability and the tools to become self-sufficient. We also offer a 24-month developmental program to non-residential single-moms who have safe and secure housing elsewhere. Moms and children can still be embraced by the love, direction and support of the Peacock Program. Lastly, we have designed a ministry program for local churches to help local single-moms.

Peacock is a nonprofit organization based in the Bryan College Station area that provides transitional housing and life-skill training for single moms and their families. Everyone has experienced the sensation of being overwhelmed, to the point where even the smallest task seems insurmountable. For a single mom, this drowning sensation can easily become a day-to-day part of life between balancing parenting, providing for her family, and taking care of herself. At Peacock, our goal is to help single mothers out of that deep pool of stress and allow them to focus on their future, one guided step at a time. They meet weekly with an Advocate and are provided services such as financial planning classes and counseling.
