Our mission is to help individuals with Parkinson's disease and their family members to cope with the many challenges of living with Parkinson's. We strive to increase awareness, provide support, encourage fitness, and share hope in the battle against PD throughout the Brazos Valley.

We introduced a non-contact boxing and fitness program to the Brazos Valley 8 years ago to provide a venue for people with Parkinson's disease to exercise. In addition to medication, exercise may be the most important tool to help fight the progressive symptoms of this disease. Currently, around 70 individuals, ranging in age from 56 to 88 years, participate in a variety of classes. In addition to Rock Steady Boxing, we offer Tai Chi, Yoga, Ping Pong, Dance, Brain Games, and Voice Practice. Each class is designed specifically for people with Parkinson's disease.
