SARC supports survivors of sexual violence ages 13 and up, in addition to their families and friends. There are no session limits for individual counseling, no time frame in which the assault had to happen to receive services.
SARC is committed to not only addressing the immediate and long term needs of survivors of sexual violence, but also addressing gaps and barriers within services. SARC will continue to serve the survivors in the Brazos Valley that have been impacted by sexual violence and work to end sexual violence.

"I met a SARC advocate at the hospital. Her name was Sue and she was so nice. She brought me snacks and talked to me while the nurse asked me questions. She was so sweet and I can't image if she hadn't been there. I was so scared and cried the whole time. "
We met Samantha at Baylor, Scott & White, 20 minutes after the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner called the hotline. At Samantha's request, I stayed with her throughout her examination, when her mom arrived, providing both of them with information about our services. Samantha was 14 years old, she was raped by her step-father. SARC supported both the survivor and her mom.
