Help Bring Our C-53 to Life
A piece of history has already found its way home to the Museum of the American G.I. Now, we need your help to put it where everyone can see it.
Our historic C-53 aircraft is already at the museum, and our team has been working hard to restore and preserve it. Now, we're raising funds to complete the restoration and prepare the aircraft for permanent display at the front of the museum.
But restoring a historic aircraft takes more than time and dedication. It takes materials, equipment, expertise, and funding.
Your donation can help us finish the job.
Our goal is to place the C-53 in a prominent outdoor display where it can be enjoyed by our entire community. Located along Highway 6, the aircraft will be more than a museum exhibit—it will be a visible reminder of the history we work to preserve.
And you won't have to visit the museum to see it.
Whether you're stopping in to explore our exhibits, heading down the highway, or simply passing through the Brazos Valley, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of this historic aircraft. We hope it will spark curiosity, start conversations, and encourage people to learn more about the history behind it.
Your gift to the C-53 Restoration & Exhibition Fund will help support the restoration work and display preparation needed to bring this aircraft back to life. Every contribution brings us one step closer to moving the C-53 from the restoration process to its permanent place in front of the museum.
Help us finish the restoration. Help us put the C-53 on display. Help us bring history to the community.
The Museum of the American G.I. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving U.S. military history, honoring those who served, and educating future generations about their sacrifices and contributions.
Donate today and help give this historic C-53 a place where generations can see, appreciate, and connect with history.
