Help Put Counseling Within Reach

When someone is ready to ask for help, help should be there.

Every day, people in the Brazos Valley walk through some of life’s hardest seasons. It may be a mom struggling with anxiety or depression, a couple fighting for their marriage, a teenager who feels overwhelmed, or someone trying to move forward after grief or trauma.

At A&M Christian Counseling Center, we provide professional counseling within a Christ-centered framework to individuals, couples, and families in our community. This year, we were incredibly honored to be voted Best Mental Health Service in Best of the Brazos Valley. But what means the most to us is simply being here when our neighbors need help.

Unfortunately, the people who need counseling the most are sometimes the ones who can least afford it.

That is why funds raised through Brazos Valley Gives will support our Community Care Fund, a counseling scholarship program that helps remove financial barriers to care. Through this fund, we have already been able to walk alongside 116 scholarship clients and the need continues.

When you give, you are not simply donating to an organization. You are helping a real person sit down with a counselor and say, “I need help.” You are helping a marriage or family begin to rebuild. You are helping someone who feels stuck begin to see a way forward.

We never want finances to be the reason someone cannot receive the help they need. Please consider giving to the Community Care Fund during Brazos Valley Gives and help keep professional, Christ-centered counseling within reach for people right here in our community.
