Burton Educational Foundation

The mission of the Burton Educational Foundation is to generate and distribute resources to Burton ISD to enrich and expand programs needed to meet the District's stated mission of providing the highest quality education possible.

The Burton Educational Foundation..
• Is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt philanthropic organization of citizens
• Shares a vision of enriching and enhancing education in the Burton Public Schools
• Works in cooperation with the Burton ISD Board of Education to increase private support for educational activities in the Burton ISD
• Benefits Burton ISD students and faculty by supporting the activities not funded by tax dollars
• Acts as a steward of the funds donated to the Foundation
• Fosters creative approaches to education through private grants and involvement
• Awards Foundation funds through a volunteer Board of Directors made up of alumni, business, community, and educational leaders

The Foundation will achieve its mission by directing resources toward the following goals:
• Encourage all students to work at their highest potential
• Support and recognize faculty for innovative efforts and exemplary teaching
• Build public awareness of the needs of Burton ISD
• Involve the community in assuring a quality education for the leaders and workers of tomorrow.
